Show at the Ranch

Greg was at it again, getting a great group of people together with good tunes and social lubricant. A really good time nothing fancy just good fun. No crazy furry hippies this time but there were multiple fire dancers. Here's the proof.

Must have beard.

Happy Birthday!

Hangin' at the Smith Ranch

Greg knows how to throw it down. Awesome entertainment from Tony Smiley surrounded by good people, schwag,  good food, Mose's Hat, a gorilla, and a bear/kitten/.....

See you next time!

Random Biking

Konrad and I headed out into the wilds of the Bend area wilderness to snap some photos. We were stuck in the desolation that is the the Deschutes National Forest literally hundreds of feet from the car. In pure isolation with the only interruption being the constant flood of people. After surviving our grand trek from the comfort of the west side this was the result.

Though after this outing I think Konrad should be named "Konrad of the Jungle" because he will hurl his body towards any tree at any speed with little regard for the consequences. If the tree misses him he'll give it another opportunity to succeed. Thanks for running laps for me Konrad.

Hangin' at Widgi

Widgi must be the bouldering equivalent of the morning glory wall at smith. People are almost always there and you are bound to know someone in any crew that shows up. That being said I headed out there with a friend planning on meeting some friends. Then some other fiends showed up followed by some friends of my friends. That place really needs a cheers sign.

I've never seen someone so happy to be falling.

Notice how comfortable it makes the climber feel when you have proper form while 'taking weight.'

That crimp is not much thicker than Grant's fingernails.

How many more logos does this image need?

Damn

Little to the left Konrad

Notice the knuckles.

The Smith Cliche

It's tacky I know but as a photographer you have to have a few shoots of Chain Reaction. I have to say a friend of mine inspired me to get a different angle on this iconic climb. Thanks Paul. I aided my way up Chain's neighbor Evil Sister and shot from below the roof. Next time I'll shot it from the other side. Here are the results. Thanks to Steve and Cory for letting me tag along. They don't show it but the last burns were well into the twilight.

There they are the first images posted on this blog i hope you enjoyed them. The Sport Climber is a friend of mine Steve sending Rising Tides 5.12b. The other are friends entertaining themselves between burns and one of them getting a boulder problem knocked out.

Poppin' the Cherry

Hey Everone That Probably Won't See This,

I got a blog up and running finally. I plan on using this to allow the various people that I take pictures of to see this and have an easy place to share it with their friends and family. I'm also going to use it as a general update of photo projects and events.

Thanks for Everyone's Support,

Dearric
